"Operation Click It or Ticket" Kicks Off

Highway safety advocates and educators will join lawmakers and law enforcement experts to kick-off on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in Centennial Olympic Park.

Metro Atlanta is one of hundreds of communities participating in the statewide One Hundred Days of Summer Heat enforcement campaign coordinated by the Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) to reduce speed and save lives on our highways.  Life-saving GOHS initiatives like Operation Click It or Ticket are supported by the Georgia Sheriff's Association, the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police, the Georgia State Patrol, and more than 500 law enforcement agencies from communities around the state.

A lasting legacy of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Centennial Olympic Park has become a performing-arts venue, community gathering-space and an anchor for downtown development. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority operates the 21-acre Park, as well as the Georgia Dome and Georgia World Congress Center. The three state-owned facilities are one of the largest combined sports, entertainment and convention center facilities in the world.
