FUSION FLASH AND JERMAINE DUPRI ROCK THE PARK

The second of ten Fusion Flash concerts was held at Centennial Olympic Park on July 16, 2005. Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat and J-Kwon performed in front of a crowd of thousands on the Park's north lawn.

The concert series, sponsored by Cingular Wireless, Ford Motor Company and Sony Music, is a summer-long tour of acts around the country where eager concertgoers are notified of performance times and dates by cellular phone text messaging as well as by e-mail.

The concert series continues in Philadelphia with Fat Joe on July 20.

A lasting legacy of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Centennial Olympic Park has become a performing-arts venue, community gathering-space and an anchor for downtown development. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority operates the 21-acre Park, as well as the Georgia Dome and Georgia World Congress Center. The three state-owned facilities are one of the largest combined sports, entertainment and convention center facilities in the world.
