| VOLUNTEER WITH HOLIDAY IN LIGHTS |
A
great way to get into a festive frame of mind
is to volunteer to help decorate the Park on Saturday,
Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Volunteers will be stringing lights on the shrubbery
throughout the Park to create the enormous Holiday
in Lights display. Individual volunteers
are welcome or share the experience by volunteering
as a group. Make it a celebratory outing by volunteering
with your department, family or friends. If your
group can’t make it on Nov. 12, call the
Park to arrange a better time.
Holiday in Lights will be bigger than ever this
year. From November to January the lights will
be on display, and volunteers can feel pride in
knowing they helped bring cheer to all visitors
of the Park. Holiday in Lights is a great holiday
tradition enjoyed by both locals and visitors
to Atlanta. Be a part of it by volunteering to
make it happen. Get in the holiday spirit and
contribute to downtown cheer-volunteer!
For more information on how to volunteer for this
fun and festive activity call Jennifer
Tinker, Visitor Center & Volunteer
Coordinator at 404.223.4093.

A lasting legacy of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Centennial Olympic Park has become a performing-arts venue, community gathering-space and an anchor for downtown development. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority operates the 21-acre Park, as well as the Georgia Dome and Georgia World Congress Center. The three state-owned facilities are one of the largest combined sports, entertainment and convention center facilities in the world. |
