| CIRCUS ELEPHANTS DINE AT CENTENNIAL OLYMPIC PARK |
Lunch at Centennial Olympic Park is always special - but
Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006 promises to be extra special
- as approximately eight Asian elephants will parade across
Marietta Street, through the Park to Andrew Young International
Boulevard for their annual lunch. The Ringling Brothers
and Barnum & Bailey Circus elephants' menu includes
bread, watermelon, bananas, apples and carrots. The elephants
will be accompanied by juggling clowns riding along for
the fun. Their trek will begin around 11:30 a.m., followed
by their feast adjacent to the Fountain of Rings. |

A lasting legacy of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Centennial Olympic Park has become a performing-arts venue, community gathering-space and an anchor for downtown development. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority operates the 21-acre Park, as well as the Georgia Dome and Georgia World Congress Center. The three state-owned facilities are one of the largest combined sports, entertainment and convention center facilities in the world. |
