Phoenix Flies at the Atlanta Preservation Center
The Atlanta Preservation Center presents Phoenix Flies: A Citywide Celebration of Living Landmarks. Get an insider's view of 31 historic venues through tours, lectures and storytelling March 10 - 31. www.phoenixflies.org

AJC International Auto Show at the GWCC
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution International Auto Show will celebrate its 25th Anniversary when it returns to the Georgia World Congress Center March 10 – 18 in Building B. The Auto Show is the largest automotive event for the Metro Atlanta dealers, featuring a wide variety of styles, including luxury vehicles, economy cars, sports cars, exotics, limited production cars, concepts, convertibles, vans, light trucks and 4-wheel drive vehicles. Marvel's Spider-Man and Wolverine of the X-Men have been set for weekend appearances. The Ford Motor Company will be bringing in Atlanta Falcon football stars for appearances. Chevrolet will also bring in NASCAR star Clint Boyer. www.ajcautoshow.com

St. Patrick’s Day Festival
The four-day St. Patrick's Day Festival, March 15 – 18, will be packed with Irish entertainment featuring live music in both Kenny’s Alley and Fountain’s Plaza, including the popular U2 tribute band, Desire. On March 17 at noon, the 126th annual parade includes Irish singing, dancing, marching bands and more. View the parade from Woodruff Park and enjoy live performances during the day. www.underground-atlanta.com

Downtown Dash for Diabetes
On March 17, the 5K Run/Walk will start in Hurt Park, go through Downtown Atlanta by the Georgia State Capital and through Historic Oakland Cemetery. www.diabetesatlanta.com

ING Georgia Marathon
The ING Georgia Marathon will officially become the state’s largest long-distance running event. The event will consist of a marathon, a half-marathon and wheelchair events. On March 25, the race course will travel through 26.2 miles of the metro Atlanta area's most interesting and historic neighborhoods, including the Sweet Auburn District, Inman Park, Decatur, Midtown and Downtown. www.georgiamarathon.com

CAP/ADID 65th Annual Meeting at the GWCC
GET CONNECTED! on March 27 at the CAP/ADID 65th Annual Meeting held in the Thomas Murphy Ballroom of the Georgia World Congress Center. NCAA Hoop City at the GWCC

NCAA Road to the Final Four 5K at COP
Be part of the excitement of NCAA March Madness in Atlanta with the inaugural NCAA Road to the Final Four 5K on March 31. Course will begin and end at Centennial Olympic Park. All participants will be eligible to win tickets to the 2007 NCAA Men’s Final Four semi-final or championship games. Participants also will receive an event T-shirt and a complimentary admission to NCAA’s Hoop City at the GWCC. www.active.com

NCAA Final Four at the Georgia Dome
The NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship is held each spring featuring 65 college basketball teams in the United States. The 20-day tournament, commonly referred to as March Madness, has become one of the country's most prominent sports events. The tournament, whose field includes regional conference champions and other top teams, is staged in a single elimination format. Since its 1939 inception, it has built a legacy that includes dynasty teams and dramatic underdog stories. The road to the national championship title ends at the Dome with the National Semifinals game and National Championship game March 31 – April 2. www.gadome.com

Wednesday WindDown at COP
The best way to get through the workweek and over hump day is by taking in a free concert! Wednesday WindDown is a popular spring / summer event that features live concerts by some of the best music acts in town. Music @ Noon at COP
Music @ Noon is the perfect summer lunchtime getaway! Get out of the office for a mid-day break filled with sunny skies and great entertainment. FOB Comic Relief at GWCC

2007 Big South Qualifier at GWCC
Ready for some volleyball? The Georgia World Congress Center is very happy to welcome back The Big South National Qualifier and Expo April 4 – 6 in Buildings A and B. The event is the largest amateur youth volleyball event in North America, held in one location on a single weekend. www.bigsouth.us

Hotlanta Hospitality Happy Hour at Ruth Chris’s Steak House

India Club at Georgia Tech presents The Holi Show in the Sidney Marcus Auditorium on April 7. This is a night of celebration of Indian culture, filled with dances, live performances, plays, instrumentals and vocals. www.techic.org

Design at Play at the Museum of Design Atlanta
This multi-media exhibit, featuring wide samples of print advertising and marketing materials, billboard executions, premium design, on-air spots, Web sites and online games, each designed to support the network’s original animated programming, will spotlight the local talents of Cartoon Network’s renown team of designers, writers, animators, producers and graphic artists. Spanning three full galleries at MODA, this first-time partnership also will explore the process of creating an animated television program from doodles and 3-D models to styleguides and storyboards. Futhermore, Design at Play will review the “holistic” approach to branding and promotion through multimedia platforms, explore product design and packaging for retail, and highlight creative examples of more traditional advertising. www.museumofdesign.org

Fifth Runway Lands Hartsfield-Jackson Excellence Award
When Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport began its ambitious construction of Runway 10-28, "The Most Important Runway in America," it was well prepared for the massive undertaking. For its exceptional performance, the Airport won the 2006 Primavera Excellence Award for Engineering & Construction in the Owner category on December 4, 2006. As part of the Airport's 15-year, $6.2 billion Capital Improvement Program (CIP), the fifth runway was completed in record time and significantly under budget—coming in 11 days early and millions less than originally estimated—thanks to standardized project management technology.

Louvre Atlanta
Louvre Atlanta is an unprecedented partnership between the High Museum of Art and the Musée du Louvre in Paris that will bring hundreds of works of art from the Louvre's collections to Atlanta over the next three years. Built around specific themes and periods, the High will present a series of long-term special presentations of art from the Louvre beginning October 2006 through 2009. www.high.org

Turner First Thursday
On the first Thursday of every month, art lovers can view the arts, tour the historic districts of Downtown, and enjoy various discounts at Downtown restaurants. Turner First Thursdays is a self-guided tour of galleries, with no beginning or ending point, you are free to move at your own pace. Free Wi-Fi Now Available at Centennial Olympic Park
Free wireless Internet access is now available in and around the Visitor Center and FountainSide Café at Centennial Olympic Park. Visitors wishing to utilize this service need to have a laptop equipped with a wireless network card. Accessing the network is then as simple as connecting to the "PARKWIFI" network and opening an Internet browser, no registration required. Centennial Olympic Park’s Visitor Center is home to the commemorative brick locators, public restrooms and friendly volunteers who can answer questions about the Park as well as the city of Atlanta. The Visitor Center is open daily; hours vary on holidays and by season. www.centennialpark.com.

Centennial Olympic Park Wins 5 Awards
The Park won five Kaleidoscope Awards at the annual Southeast Festivals & Events Conference in February. The Park was competing against roughly 48 other top festivals, including notorious, annual events such as the Kentucky Derby and the Macon Cherry Blossom Festival. The Park was awarded the following:

Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Atlanta Civic Center
Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, is now at the Atlanta Civic Center. Visitors will be drawn back in time as they step into fully reconstructed replicas of Titanic’s first and third class rooms. More than 300 actual artifacts recovered from Titanic’s debris field are on view, including a 3,000 pound piece of the ship's hull. www.atlantaciviccenter.com

A lasting legacy of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Centennial Olympic Park has become a performing-arts venue, community gathering-space and an anchor for downtown development. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority operates the 21-acre Park, as well as the Georgia Dome and Georgia World Congress Center.
