Centennial Olympic Park Names New Program Coordinator (ATLANTA – October 1, 2007) Michelle Brown has been named the new program coordinator at Centennial Olympic Park. Brown was previously a sales executive at the Georgia World Congress Center. Originally from Lexington, Ky., Brown has six years of event and facilities management experience and four years of athletic management experience. As program coordinator for the Park, Brown is responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing and coordinating of programs and events within the Park. She serves as the liaison between the client and the Park staff during events. "We are excited about having Michelle join the Park team and are confident in her abilities. Her background and experience ensure that she will take excellent care of our wide variety of customers," said Joe Skopitz, assistant general manager of Centennial Olympic Park. Brown graduated from Kentucky State University with a degree in health, physical education, recreation and dance and received her master’s degree from the University of Kentucky in rehabilitation counseling. Prior to joining the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, Brown most recently worked for Ambassadors. “I am very happy to be a part of the team at Centennial Olympic Park and I look forward to contributing to such a unique event space in the heart of downtown Atlanta.”
