September 7, 2014 The Sweat With Your Sole Festival presented by UnitedHealthcare

The Sweat With Your Sole Festival presented by UnitedHealthcare is a jam-packed weekend kicking off with a two-day conference starting on Thursday, September 4. The conference will include interactive workshops with nationally recognized trainers and fitness instructors and speakers, and a vast amount of knowledge-sharing on running, health, and nutrition. On Sunday, September 7, the weekend will conclude with a 5K and 15K run/walk beginning and ending at the beautiful Centennial Park in downtown Atlanta. Register at www.sweatwithyoursole.com

The Atlanta Partnership Walk/Run is an initiative of Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. (AKF USA) to raise awareness and funds that reduce poverty, hunger, illiteracy and poor health in Africa and Asia.
Last year’s event raised over $1.1 million for AKF USA programs worldwide. 100% of the funds raised at Partnership Walk go directly to projects supported by the Foundation; not a cent is spent on administration.
The event is a day of fun for the whole family and one that Atlantans look forward to every year. The Walk features lively entertainment and activities for all ages celebrating a rich diversity of cultures. One of the most inspiring features of Partnership Walk is the Village in Action, where participants can enjoy interactive exhibits spotlighting the Foundation’s practical solutions for alleviating poverty from Afghanistan to Zanzibar.

The Metro Atlanta Heart Walk unites more than 15,000 people from across Georgia in support of the fight against this country's No. 1 and No. 4 killers - heart disease and stroke. The 2014 Metro Atlanta Heart Walk will celebrate more than 25 years as one of Atlanta’s largest community walk events and one of the American Heart Association’s top fundraisers in the country. With a goal of raising nearly $2,000,000, the Heart Walk funds vital research, education campaigns, healthcare quality improvement programs and much more right here in our local community. The Heart Walk is a premiere event for raising funds to save lives! Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk creates an environment that's fun and rewarding for the entire family. The Metro Atlanta Heart Walk is a 5K (3.1 miles) walk, starting in Centennial Olympic Park, weaving through downtown Atlanta and ending back at the park and also features an easier 1-mile Survivor route. - Professional camera or video equipment of any kind
- Weapons (All persons subject to body search)
- Pets, fireworks, drugs, remote controlled vehicles or aircraft




October 5th, 2014 2014 Paws in the Park

Paws in the Park 2014 will be the fourth annual charity dog walk benefiting Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption. As our largest fundraiser, this walk raises funds that directly benefit the animals at our no-kill shelter. Our 2014 goal is to raise $80,000 to support operations in our expanded new building, and for our continued efforts to rescue homeless pets and place them in loving homes.
